Remarkable or not, as I meet with people in my business, the first and foremost need time after time is to get them on, or back on, the leadership track. If everyone believes and acts as if they really are leaders, productivity, human kindness, teams and companies certainly benefit, but it seems to be an elusive goal. Sad but true, most people do not look at themselves as leaders; moreover, they don't even think it is achieveable. Leadership is for....leaders. You know. Those people out there somewhere that are.....leaders. Although many people can easily identify that our "leaders" in public offices are not really leaders, we each forget to realize we can really be the leaders that are needed. It just means taking the challenge and running with it. It is very doable. It is so doable we MUST take on the role because our businesses and our futures depend on it. There are so few leaders that really are leading because they are not recognized as leaders, or do not believe they are or can be leaders, we are leadership starved. Step up! You are a leader if you chooose to be. I am, and you are too. We are needed. Let's make it happen!
the only way to change is to stop doing the same thing expecting a different outcome. That has been said so many times before it is worn out. But people keep going back to that. Insurance companies keep insisting new fledgling agents call 300 people they don't know and hope the law of numbers still applies. Marketing isn't the same. This is today. The rank and file must stand up and start thinking and management needs to listen. They are frontline.
